The 2007 Colonial Beach Triathlon was on Sunday, July 15. It was a great day, weather-wise, at least for the most part. According to my personalized results, "the weather at the start was Sunny, 70 degrees F, 78% humidity, south wind 5mph." By the time the run started though it was rather warm. I think And I started running at about 8:50AM.

Other 'official highlights' were:

• There were 16 finishers in the Female 40 to 44 age group and 304 finishers in the Age Group Division.
• Your overall finish place was 223, your age group finish place was 9 and your gender finish place was 51.
  Your time was 2:39:01.35.
• Your Swim time was 16:12.50, Overall place 131, Gender place 27 (Age group place was 4th!)
• Your Bike time was 1:20:19.15, Overall Place 221, Gender place 44, Speed 18.5m. (Age group place was 11th)
• Your Run time was 58:42.80, Overall place 247, Run Pace  9:47  (Age group place was 12th)

I participated in this event last year and ended up taking a whopping 28 seconds off my finish time! I have to say that the competition in my age group was really tough this year. The swim went great. I don't remember the bike being so hilly though! Also, I think I had a tougher time with the run this year because the heat got to me, but that is nothing new. My little 3 mile run two nights before probably wasn't smart  either. Oh well!
