KickASTTri Bike Ride - 4/8/06 It started dry but began to rain around 10 miles. We had gone in toward Rosslyn first to keep a reasonable distance from our cars. Then we went out toward Reston. At Hunter Mill I began to turn around, but Ron bribed us with coffee at Starbuck's so we continued on to Reston. As soon as we were part way there it began to pour, and even coffee was not enough to warm me up. But we did get in 30 miles, of which I would say 12 were in driving rain. A real character builder as they say and great preparation for the next event where it rains. Gina was a real trooper in her second time out this year--after this experience probably the last. |
