Marine Corps Marathon The strategy was great. Follow a pony tail every mile. The general would have been proud and in heaven. The first pony tail we followed happened to be my oldest daughters cheer coach. :> The race went well. I ran with my principal for about 15 miles and then he developed cramps. By about mile 17 I had to push on because he wanted to walk/run which I couldn't do!! So I took off. It was a great day on a new course along the reservoir and the C and O Canal instead of Rock Creek parkway. Haines Point was Haines Point. I felt very good at the bridge. My time was the goal I wanted my principal and I to do but I could have gone at least 30 minutes faster. My next marathon race will be at 50 yrs
old, in 2 years. Any takers? |
