Ethan came in 1st in his age group.  However, they didn't give him that medal.  That's because he came in 1st overall !!!! 

 

Ethan and I were in the same heat and also with Doug Landau and Tom Cook (two of the guys who are always in the top 3).  So, Ethan knew that if he could beat them, he was in good shape for the whole race.  As it turned out, 2nd place overall was in a different heat, but 1st, 3rd and 4th were Ethan, Tom and Doug.  Obviously, it was a rough heat for me.  :-)

 

It would have been a good year for Joe and Ken.  No 50-59 year old men at all today.
